repairing exhaust studs
hey guys.. i'm about to go get some quotes for labor fees on replacing all of my exhaust studs, gaskets, etc... anyways i wanted to see if i could get some prices from you guys on what you have paid for this, so i know what to expect, and so i can know if someone is trying to rip me off. any help would be greatly appreciated! i have all parts needed, i am just going to check up on labor costs
oh and btw if anyone has done it in the southern cali area that is where i am at.. maybe there is a shop you can recommend me to? thank you guys very much!

I just bought the studs from Courtesy and I have to say, for 34 dollars I expected the things to be a little bigger.
I talked to a guy at Warpspeedperformance (was ordering my y pipe) and he said that a good way to get the broken studs removed is to remove the manifold and then with any studs that are broken to try to screw a nut on to what is left of the stud. Then take a welder and weld the nut to the screw, now you can try to back it out with a socket wrench.
This is what I will be trying, at least before I get the drill and start drilling. Naturally this is going to be something I wish I hadn't started but hey, I have the summer to waste anyway.

i dropped in at the local United Auto and ordered a new rear manifold for $150 shipped, including gaskets and studs. so i'm gonna get my car up and get the old one off and put the new one in... along with a stainless y-pipe, b-pipe w/resonator, muffler, catback.
