I have a 91 Max and the dam clock fades in and out sometimes. It doesn't always want to work. What is the problem is it electrical or the clock itself that needs replacing, any help on this anoying problem would be a help.
Ryan.

It's the solder joints in the clock. Major pain to remove the clock, but once you get it out of the car, *carefully* pry open the cover. If you see any solder points that are not smooth or silvery or are visibly cracked/separated, take a soldering iron (LOW wattage) and reheat the solder points. That should fix the problem. Use a soldering iron with a sharp tip, so you can pinpoint each solder joint.
Hope this helps.

yea my clock does that stupid **** also tho...lol, i just decided that it's not worth the money/efforet to get it fixed or fix it anyways so I suggest just getting a new head unit and using the clock on there!
