Steering Wheel replacement?

Is there any type of aftermarket steering wheels, leather covers, or perhaps a good place to by a replacement OEM? My leather on my wheel is pealing off horribly and I need to fix it up ASAP.

Thanks
Jim

I don't think you can buy a new steering wheel from the dealer and if you could it would be very expensive. You can try a local junkyard or somebody parting out a maxima with a good condition steering wheel. You can also buy some leather and fix it yourself by stitching some on. Craig B. did it and it came out really well. If you don't have patience for looking for a used mint condition steering wheel or stitching new leather to it then I suggest you just buy a MOMO steering wheel.

I'm in the army stationed in Germany... so pretty much my resources for this kind of thing is strictly the internet. Where could I find these momo stearing wheels? When you say get some leather... do you just mean like sheets and then sew it on?

I'm sure if you go online and go to www.yahoo.com and type in "MOMO steering wheels" you will find a bunch of websites with them, they have a big variety. About the leather I mean buy a sheet long enough to wrap around the steering wheel and start cutting and sewing until you're happy, if you don't know how to sew I suggest you getting a person who does, its a pain in the ***.

A friend of my brother's has a 99 Max and he wanted momo stuff. He bought a kit that you sew on (comes precut and with the stitching). He said it took him several hours to do, but it looks fantastic, even better than the factory leather. He also got a matching momo shift ****.
