Whats up with this A31 Cefiro (3rd gen maxima)
Price list
It's a price list for the parts.
Expensive too! Assuming an exchange rate of 115 yen to $1.00, front spoiler is about $513 US, side skirts about $417, rear under spoiler about $513, aero mirrors soon to be released, B-Wave 115mm diameter Type III muffler is about $852, height adjustable suspension (basic kit) about $1200, and 40mm dia chrome plated 7-point roll cage is about $1434.
BTW, A31 Cefiro is RWD and different from the 3rd gen Maxima. 3rd gen Maximas in Japan are known as the J30 Maxima.

Japan
The car is slammed with the height adjustable suspension. The A31 Cefiros have been popular in Japan for years. It's one of the preferred cars of choice for RWD crowd. The top of the line Cefiro came with a 2.0L 24V DOHC I-6 (RB20DET) producing 205 HP.
It was not exported.

Lights
I wouldn't even bother. The lights are much more raked and thinner (heightwise), and are dual projecters and foglights all in one ($$$).
The BMX light-coversion is probably the best bet. It's been done and the parts are locally avail.
I was thinking about the slammed front suspension again and that's probably just like that for show.

The 3rd gen maxima is built off the J30 coded platform. (no not the infinity j30 - that is built off an extednded 300ZX chassis)

so what i am getting from this is....if were of the basic Z32 chasis will there suspension components comply with ours....and if a fourth gen max is an A32 and its goes on from there up the gens to A33 and so on and so forth...how is ours not an A31? it would seem illogical have it as a j30 only logical reason i can think of would be for The north american market...But what do i know?

a31 cefiro was never in the usa, and it isn't a 3rd gen maxima. J30 maxima was available worldwide at approximately the same time as in the US, give or take a year. Why did they change from J to A for the 4th gen? Who knows. The 2nd gen was a U11 iirc, so that was no closer to J30 than J30 is to A32. But no, you can't just dump a z32 or A31 suspension on our car and call it RWD. there's lots more cutting and crap involved, which is why nobody's done it.
they were saying the INFINITI J30 was based on the z32, which is different from the Nissan J30 (Maxima)
