tire rubbing issues w/97-99 5-spokes

i just got some 97-99 5 spokes and i've noticed a bit of rubbing from them.
have you guys just got a smaller width tire or added spacers?
the wheels currently have 215/55/16 toyo a05 rubber on them.
should i go with a 205? or get spacers?

Well when I put on my 99 SE-L rims they had Pirelli P7000 Supersport in size 225/50 tires and they rubbed a lot. Now I have 215/55 Potenza Re950s and the rubbing went away.

I've got 215/55s as well and no rubbing, but every once in a while when I'm turning the wheel all the way left or right it rubs a little.

I have 225/50-16 Kuhmo 712s and no rubbing. Although I think the Kuhmo's run small for 225's (yes I KNOW it's supposed to be standardized)

Different tires run different sizes, so if you have some rubbing, get new wheels, new tires, or small spacers.

I bet 3mm or 5mm spacers would cure it.

Might be interested in those wheels! How many miles you got on those tires. Appreciate the info.
