Aftermarket Rim question

hi guys,
I was looking at aftermarket rims with 2154517zr tires. These are the same numbers on the 99 SE. Has anyone noticed a moderate difference in ride quality? In other words i still want it to ride soft and not like a dump truck. I also DONOT wanna lose moderate acceleration by upgrading wheel sizes.

Can you guys with 3rd gens and aftermarket wheels and tires lend me your experiences.

Thanks

215/45/17 is too small. Go no smaller than 225/45/17 but 235/45/17 seems to be the correct size to match the factory height.

With the bigger tire size of the 235 the ride shouldnt be to bad at all. I have the 225/45 and my ride isnt too bad.

i got enkei cdr9s with nakang ns-1 215/45/17s and they are fine. if u wanted to have the same overall diameter as stock they recommend 215/50/17 but the 215/45 work too.

Im sitting on 215/45/ZR17's with Sprints. With stock springs I dont really see what the problem would be.

how is the ride quality with lowering spring and the monroe struts? is it better than stock, equal, or worse? i was thinking about doing eibach springs and monroe struts. is that good?
