Looking for the real skinny on intake systems

Ok I've heard a lot about performance improvements but I'm wondering if anyone has actually ran the numbers for any increase in fuel economy. Simply put, I'm not looking for performance but trying to determine if a $200+ intake system will pay for itself in gas economy. Assuming perfectly tuned car, clean TB, new 02 sensor etc.
Thanks

only if your buying a Y-pipe to go with it.
and to add to that, a UDP.

Then you'll see alot more of an increase.

I personally just paid $120 for mine. Normally I wouldnt even bother with a new intake tube, but I'm really getting tired of looking at the behemith stock intake, I swear it was designed solely to take up space. I bought the Intake Tube because I am going to be installing my Fidanza and Exedy next weekend, and I just cant bring myself to reinstalling the stock air box after i've taken it off.
