Did u have trouble wiring up the BMW lights with the daytime running lights?

Also did u install them yourself, and how long did it take u.

Thanks

the bimmer lights were installed in 3hrs, while i was doin bbq, I didnt do it the way craig has it on his website, I used the bimmer lights brackets, not the maxima's. I had to cut a bit of the rad support to allow thelights to sit in properly. My sidemarkers arent out of place either like some guys have complained. I did the job my self.

As for wiring, I went to the junkers and got the bulb clips off an caprice classic, its a universal clip, you'll find em on hondas too.
It was just a matter of cutting and splicing the wires.
And aiming, it was done at night with the car on a flat surface facing a wall about 20 ft away, and adjusting accordingly.

All work done on the car has been done by myself, except for the clutch and lightened flywheel, at the time, i was tooo busy workin on my other toy, so i needed a car asap, so i chose to send the Max out while I worked on my other car.

how much of the support did you have to cut? your tinted corners look really good with those bimmer lights. any problems with the install? how much did you pay for those lights? I have been thinking about doing this

the shop my buddy works at keeps inventory of all parts taken off cars that are still in good shape, so if the parts have been numbered and you need a part, they charge you for it, even if you work there
I was too anxious to do the mod and couldnt wait for my friend to snag the a set of lights that werent numbered yet, so i bought a set.( i guess they charge for parts in case somebody is doing a side job, they dont want their guys making profit off them for free)
So it cost me $300 for both, one had a broken adjusting screw, which would have to come off anyway for the conversion, and the other light had a scratch on thelens, The nice thing about these lights is that you can buff them, theyre plastic, so any rock chips from highway driving can all be cleaned up to look like new!
I called around some wreckers, they want $200CDN for each, and the dealer wants $450CDN for each.

The rad support was cut just a little bit, about a 2" x 2" piece on the passenger side, and i took the hammer to the driver's side spport just to push an edge out of the way of the bracket. Then i made my own brackt forthe lights and grill.

ill post some pics once i figure out why yahoo is denying me to post more pics in my own photo album.
