doesn't this look a lot like the maxima's ecu?

ummm maybe.. there's a lot that look like that, since they're made by only a few companies.

Close but no cigar. I just happen to have an ECU from a 92 Max sitting on the shelf. Here is a picture of the same connector.



Similar, but not the same physically. Probably even more different inside!

ahh, ok. that one i posted was from a silvia and i was like whoa... that looks like it could fit. (you're thinking but the silvia is 4 banger but i'm thinking, fully programmable plug in replacement) oh well... i'm tired and can't think strait right now.
