For what they're charging for what is basically a cone filter setup you can have a WarpSpeep CAI. Or you could get a basic Cone filter setup off eBay for about $25 shipped. And there ISN'T going to be $150 worth of performance difference between the generic eBay unit and the Cattmann Combo. There probably won't be $25 bucks worth of difference.

Ohhh...wait, it's prettier......

Is there anywhere I can find a hybrid intake for the vg, besides ebay? Does anyone make them or would I have to make my own? Tried searching couldn't really find much. Thanks for your responses

That intake would require cutting into the fender since its a CAI right? I didnt really want to go that route, thats why I was looking for the hybrid.

Well, I'm just reaching here, but anything other than routing the filter outside the engine compartment to get cooler air would be considered a HAI rather than a CAI, right??

Yeah, I see most are like $25.99, and the shipping price isn't bad. Does it fit right, or is there some cutting of the pipe involved?
Here's the one I looked at:

Would it be just as good as a that (place?) CAI? Any pics of it installed in a maxima?

Yeah I'd like to know more about that Eclipse intake install too. Would sure save a hell of a lot of $$$. Anyone hooked it up? Looks to me like it connects directly to the throttle body. I'd think you'd need another adapter for the MAF and also it doesn't seem to have all the fittings.

Yeah, but would it work better than getting one made for yourself down at a muffler shop for the piping?
