5spd conversion or Sell? need advice

i've come to that point in life where automatic isnt gonna cut it anymore. I've been lookin at cars from M3s to Celicas... i just need something with a manual cuz im gettin bored easily

i got a 1994 GXE auto

what kind of costs should i expect to incur with doing a 5spd conversion? (parts & estimated prices would be thx)

please give me your input on why i should or shouldnt do this too

thanks

if you do it yourself your looking at anywhere from 500 to 1k dollars im helping do one right now and still colecting parts and with new clutch, master and slave cylinder and rebiult axles, its going to be alittle over 500$ well worth it for what you get and i know how you feel about the auto although i never have nor will own a car with one my parents and friends drive them and i cant stand driving them

Try and find a parts car if you can. I ended up buying one and broke even, so basically I got all my stuff for free

About the only way to do it reasonably inexpensively is to buy a front clip, or a parts car. That way you get ALL the odd bits and pieces you'll need to do a complete and clean install. It's all those little bits that''l drive you crazy. Things like motor mounts, or pedal assemblies, hangers for the clutch master, steel hydraulic lines that are bent properly, console bits and on and on.

Unless you're a competent back yard mechanic don't try this alone.
