I drove a 98 SE today and I was not verry impressed with it.
Don't get me wrong I love Maximas.
But my opinion is that 3rd Gen's are better layed out.
The 4th Gen did not have as much space in it and the seats where not verry comfortable. It's still a great car and the suspension on it is excelent.
I guess I just like my 94 alot better, I have yet to drive a 2000 or 2001 Max.
DON'T MANTION ANYTHING TO THE 4TH GEN PEOPLE.

Man, I know exactly what you mean!! I test drove a '96 SE 5 speed and it dragged it's tail!! Of course I've done a lot of mods to my '89 SE 5 speed, but it's 12 years old and the 160 hp version. I just expected the '96 (being newer) to at least feel like it had as much power as mine, it didn't, I was really disappointed! Then I thought, "I could always add a supercharger!" Then my wife says "HEY! This is for ME!!" Oh well!

hmm.. my freind has a 5th gen but hes been a ***** and hasnt let me drive it yet, but ive found that the seats in my car are much more comfortable and soft. HIs inside has a lot of room too and its a pretty nice car. funny thing, some of the things havent changed, like the domelights and maplights are sitll the same. but anywys thats pointless And the pasenger door had some problem that it doesnt close right, you have to slam it hard to close it... other then that its a decent car. he got a gxe auto too.
