Power Loss HELP!

ive been searching the forums with no luck finding anyone with a similar problem. I have recently noticed quite a power loss. When i used to hit the gas pedal, it put me back in my seat. Now when i hit the pedal, its a little more sluggish and doesnt have the punch. Anyone have any ideas? My dad said something about possibly the vacuum system? any help would be appreciated. thanks

Wow, we need much more information as your problem could be any of 1,000,000 things. How does the car idle? Is the engine light on? Have you read the ECU codes? How long has it been doing this? Does it do it at certain times or all the time? What engine do you have? 5psd or auto? We would like to help, but your request is too vauge.

i dont think the trans is slipping. it seems to shift pretty crisp. i havent had it in for a full tune up since ive owned it (almost a year). the guy who sold it to me pretty much had the engine rebuilt. i put new spark plugs in it just 2 months ago. would you reccomend i take it for a tune up and maybe have new vaccuum hoses put in? will any shop put new vacuum hoses in?

Could be the heat, especially if you live in Texas! Damn it's hot here.
