I recently went to Strauss and asked for throttle body cleaner and the guy looked at me like I was crazy. I was reading a website that said getting that cleaner is good because it increases your cars MPG. I was wondering if anyone knows where I could get that stuff or what it does and where it goes.

Thanks
Chris

I dunno what Strauss is, but any parts store should have TB cleaner.. even wal-mart has it..

if this Strauss place was a parts store, that guy should be fired, as he is obviously a moron.

Go to the shelf with the carb/injector cleans and look for the Gumout can marked "Throttle Body/Injector cleaner". Supposedly, the throttle body cleaner has a lubricant in it to coat the parts in the TB to keep them from carboned up. Also, some of the parts come with a factory coating, ans some cleaners can remove it, while TB cleaner won't.
