maxima airbags!!!
maxima airbags!!!
i dunno if this is a stupid question..but i thought all maxima's had airbags??..becuz today when i went to call the auto shop to order my axle..he says do you have airbags and i was like yeeah!! and he goes are u sure..u better make sure before u order and then he just hung-up!!..what an *******!!
Look on your steering wheel. If the cruise control buttons are on the side, then you have an airbag. If the buttons are embedded in the wheel itself, then NO, you do not have an airbag. Also, on your sun visor, there should be a sticker of some sort warning you about the possible dangers of SRS.

I noticed on VE's if you have ABS your coolant overflow resevior is located near the battery, and if you don't have ABS, it is located on the left side of the engine bay.
Is it the same with you VG guys?

The difference between ABS and not ABS axles are the the ABS teeth for the sensor. On ABS axles, there are teeth that look like gears that run close to a magnetic sensor. It is this sensor that detect which wheel is locked up and engages the ABS accordingly. Very important.
How can you tell if you have ABS? Look in the engine bay (can't remember if it is the left or right side) and look for a metal box with four metal lines coming out of it. This is your ABS cylinder. If you are unsure, go to a local Nissan service shop and have them identify it for you.
