rewiring corner lights

for those who has their corner lights rewired, you know when the turn signal comes on, is that how bright the corner lamps are when rewired, or when the turn signals are off? and has anyone have any problems of higher wattage bulbs melting the stock or clear corners? and how do you rewire the corner lights?

Although I don't have mine rewired (I am thinking about it, though), the cornering lamps are not that bright. I can't see them getting hot enough to melt the hard plastic. I would imagine (key word there) it would take a great amount of heat for that to happen. Nonetheless, that is a legitimate concern.

Yes, thats how bright they are. Check out the Faqs post at the top of the page. Craigs has a write up on how to rewire the corners on his website.
