question about the 9006 and 9005 bulbs

i posted this in the 1st and 2nd gen max section....sorry

anyways...

im going to be using some 9005 and 9006 light bulbs. the lowbeams(9006 i think) are sylvania silverstars at 51w. my stock 9004 lowbeams were only 45w. are my stock wires gonna be ok using the silverstars at 51w or should i do that conversion where i run my headlights off the batt and use a relay?

thanx everyone

9005 and 9006 bulbs will not work with your stock headlights.

That is, unless you did the E36 conversion.

I think 51w will be fine.

stock wiring is fine for that. Now if you want to do the upgraded harness with the relay it wouldnt hurt since it will give you more voltage at the light which equals a brighter light.
