Well, I called Seibon on Monday and talked to this really nice lady that really didn't know a JAcK (probably the receptionist acting like tech support). But she said the person I had talked to back in April or so was no longer at the company, but she was passing my info to the person that took their place.

She also said that their policy is to respond to all inquiries in 2 days, so I should be hearing from them today (I hope...)

Let's just see what BOTH places say and try to get at least ONE deal going. (and I say TRY with extreme prejudice)

I'd send FI a FAX of your proposal...they seem to respond better to faxes.(that was the only way I got them to send me my hood a while back when the original GD went down) also what time are you calling them....always got the best response when calling 2pm eastern time. IMO don't wait on their emails, you'll be waiting for a while!

Well, here's what I got from Seibon:

> Message: A couple of months ago, I had contacted you regarding the
possibility of having a CF hood made for my car. Well, in my message, I'm not sure if I mentioned that I may be able to get a number of people to commit to purchasing hoods, as well. My question is do you, or would you be able to, offer any kind of group discount? So far, I've gotten at least 7 people interested. But their main concern is that it is less expensive than what is offered by Fiber Images at $600. So, if it is at all possible, could you forward me a price quote, taking into consideration if 2 or more people purchase a hood? Thanks in advance for your consideration.

Dear Mr. Collins

We can beat Fiber Images's price if you have 5 or more people. However, we will need a factory hood from you.

$hit sounds good. I'd come up with the doe if its under $450.

Try to do some wheelin' and dealin' with these ppl.

They're doing these hoods for that price WITHOUT group deals.

They can sell 'em for $400 to us, and still make 4 G's...

Yeah, but usually, those GD's you're talking about are for 4th gen's (which can get those hoods a dime a dozen). It's almost a "one-off" kinda thing, when thinking along the lines of 3rd gens since most of them are at least 10+ years old and don't have a wealth of aftermarket resources to choose from.

Just food for thought - YOU do the dishes!

probably because he didnt want to drive around with a gray silver hood while the CF hood was being made or incase it wasnt made at all.

I have a gut feeling and I seriously don't see FI doing ANY type of "barganing"...it just seems that they don't have much to lose in this deal since 3rd gens aren't really their top customers?. the first GD was probably hard enough to get them to agree with. I'd say don't expect to go under $500 + shipping is my guess

$500 + shipping is still lower than $600 + shipping... so really its all good as long as this gd goes thru as far as i see it
