anybody got the instructions on how to resolder the dr lock timer so that the timer is bypassed. I've opened the timer itself but I don't know exactly which part is exactly the timer to remove. I heard of people do'n this before so any help is well appreciated. Thanks in advance!

It think you're getting a little mixed up with this. People often take out their clock and replace the capacitors in there to make it work again. As for the door lock timer, I've only heard of one person doing any soldering with it - Matt93GXE. I think he said that he just resoldered all the joints in there and it worked. He didn't bypass it or anything and I'm not really sure that you could or would have any reason to bypass it. Just add some flux and try to resolder all the joints is your best bet.
The door lock timer is on 91+ (maybe 92+) models I think and it just controls the lock and unlocking of the doors

Yeah... I did get confused because I got the impression that the dr lock timer could be completely bypassed. I'll try resoldering all the joints and see what happens. Thanks!

Nooooo, you don't change or bypass anything.. as Craig said, all I did was resolder all the connections. just grab a soldering iron, roll of solder, and go after it.

be careful not to add too much solder and start gluing the thing together! (but if you know how to solder, you've got enough sense to know better than that.)

BTW, took me about 45 min to do the entire thing from start to finish.

No, the doors do not automatically lock.

The door lock timer is a timing unit that works with the door actuators and the digital touch entry system (if you have it). It's like an elaborate relay I suppose.

You know you need to replace it if your door locks start to work on and off or if they stop working completely. I discovered this problem a year or so ago when I was sick and tired of my locks doing wierd stuff. So I went to work and started replacing stuff :0). The door lock timer was the first unit I saw, and it worked the first time. Nissan doesn't even have it in a TSB.
