mine are shot and I was thinking of changing them myself. anyone run into any problems with this?

 

pretty much straight forward. bottom two bolts. top 3 nuts and pull them out. get a spring compressor and compress the springs. once that's done take off the top bolt and the assembly should separate. make sure u know how the top plate goes..(position).
there's more to it..but that's a general idea.

 

The springs are long, and need to be compressed quite a bit. Make sure you span 4 coils with the compressor, or you won't be able to compress it enough.
Make sure you get new strut boots also.

 

just make sure you dont take the bolt off the strut that compresses the spring when the struts are still on the car. i did it just to see if i could take the strut and spring apart without using the spring compressor and that spring shout out like a motha-f**ka. lol. thought i was gonna get killed.
