is this 92se worth it???

what up yall, i'm new here, looking to become a 3rd gen owner. i saw this 92 se 5spd in the paper, checked it out, but couldn't drive it due to the dealer was mad busy and i had to be somewhere.

none the less, its got 150k, and other than a ding on the hood, a stain on the sunroof headie, and the spoiler is loose on one side the thing looks mint.

question: if i drive it, and it runs smooth, is this worth $3500??

any help would be greatly appreciated.

talk them down to $3000, but worry about the price after you drive it. Also it really helps to have a thorough understanding of the cars. I bought mine little less than a month ago, and I havent driven it yet, but I also havent had any real unexpected surprises.

Check for the VTC's
Check the door jams for rust
Make sure all the windows work, along with various other electrical things.
blah blah blah,
I'll post when I think of more.

$3500 is a fair price assuming it's in good condition. However, the tach not working is strange.

If they tell you it's an easy fix, then tell them to fix it for you before you buy it. Then you'll really find out if it's an 'easy' fix or not

If they're reluctant to take care of it, that's an obvious red flag

Start it up cold and listen for horrible clacking/ticking noise. Very simple

Even at that though, seriously, bad VTC's should NOT be a deal breaker IMHO.
