removing bose 6x9 mounting plates?

i was reading soem past messages and somebody mentioned that the bose has 6x9 mounting plates over the existing 6 1/2" stock cut holes. i want to remove these 6x9 plates, but do not see any screws. anybody know how to do this?

I'm not sure. I tried to remove mine also because part of it was broken. I ended up using epoxy to stop the vibration. Why not just mount 6x9's back there? also your website is down.

i dont think 6x9s sound as good as 6 1/2s. the 6x9s are oval shaped and 6 1/2 round. the 6x9s are used for bass mostly, but i don't really need bass anymore, also, the 6 1/2s cost $100, whereas the 6x9s are about $130

i dunnmo whats up with my webhost, they're not doing so well lately.
