I see the white box next to the jack but I dont know how to get the wire out of it???

my headset sucks, anyone tried making there own car mp3 player yet ? I think thats a project for this summer....and we're talking gigabytes!

it has a latch, which keeps it in. If you can get your fingers and thumb on either side, you should feel it. Squeeze it to release.

If you plan to remove the antenna, remove the motor from the body first; the wires are long enough so you can pull the motor back towards where your jack stows, and you can actually SEE the connection, at which point disconnection will be obvious.
