Things like front strut brace, rear sway bar, axxis brake pads make for good 1st mods. However U should do a tune up and clean the throttle body, bump base timing to 17-19*BTDC while running 89+ octane.

if looking for performance only intake, ypipe and advancing your ignition timing will be good for around 20hp to the wheels

I'm gonna assume that you have stock stuff on your car.

If you gonna do the strut brace... you should also then consider new performance struts/shocks to handle the "push" from the strut bar when you're turning. If you have the soft-luxury suspension, the strut bar won't really help because your suspension will absorb all of the pushing that the strut bar will do on the towers.

Good Luck

Maintenance:
- fuel filter
- O2 Sensor
- PCV valve
- vacuum hoses as needed
- timing belt if not replaced in the past 60k miles
- new belts

Go Fast:
- cone filter
- 2.5" exhaust piping
- straight through muffler
- new plugs
- plug wires
- aftermarket ignition system
- bumped timing
- higher grade gas for bumped timing

Stop Better:
- Axxis pads
- possible upgrade to 300ZX even Skyline brakes
- better tires

Handle Better:
- front strut brace
- larger sway bars
- subframe connectors
- lowered progressive springs
- struts (Tokicos are a good buy Konis if you've got money)

That's a nice list that should get you going. Do the maintenance first, then the other goodies as you see fit. And welcome to the Org.
