of the regular BMW headlights why not the new ellipsoid ones. These are about 3 times the price of the regular E36 ones but look and perform much better. I'm just wondering how the wiring would work.

I had an idea too: take the BMW headlights as well as their clear corners and fit them to our car, fill the extra space with some sheet metal and put some bondo over it sand it down and paint it. it might look kidna funny

that would look ghetto i think, but what i want to do is just get a clear headlight cover for the OEM light, without all that patterny stuff on it, like newer cars and the 3 series lights have but just without the 2 lights behind it. Althogh that looks nice too. I think that would look sweet and modernize the appearence of the car.

anyone fabricate clear plastic that could amke it form the same shape of the OEM glass without all that patterny stuff? make it look like the 2k max lights....

I might be wrong but....

don't those patterns on the headlight assembly do something? what i mean is that they might provide the "correct" beam pattern, and if you messed with it, the light might not shine the way it should on the road.

then again i have no clue about this. but sure, that would look cool. btw, it's 2:15 am, so i am pardoned for being stupid now. thanks.
