Front Crankshaft Seal Replacement

I have a leaking front seal. So I have a couple of questions for those of you out there.
First-Can you pull the oil pan without pulling anything else?
Second-If you just pull the crank pulley off, can the seal be changed?

All this is with the desire not to pull engine, or any mounts or crossmembers etc.

Any help would be appreciated!

Oil pan doesn't come off unless you unbolt the bottom engine support - which means you have to support the engine from the top. If you get a seal puller, you will be able to pull it without pulling the oil pump. Its not just wham bam done, but still doable. I made the misake of unbloting the oil pump and pan first, then trying to get them off. I didn't realize the the pan wouldn't drop, even though the Chiltons leads you to believe that it does. So, I FUBAR'd the oil pump gasket, and needed to pull it off to replace it.

you've got a 91. which means you've got a VG.. which means you have to pull the timing belt to replace the front main seal. don't mess with it until you're ready to change the timing belt again. a little oil won't hurt anything, unless it's a MAJOR leak.
