Weapon-R / Dragon-R Intake Filter

Hey guys. Just wondering if any of you know if a Dragon-R intake filter with a 3" opening can be clamped to the regular 3" MAF adaptor and if all would fit OK? Because I assume since it has a 3" opening it will fit to the MAF fine using the adaptor, but will the filter fit alright in the limited space that there is?

Here is a pic of the filter I'm talking about:

Thanks for any help guys.

i'd still won't risk it even with a 'heatshield' in place. the heat will still get to it and will start to break down the foam over time.
i'd go with something more dependable and lasting over those foam filters anyday.

Have you tried custommaxima.com yet? Not sure if their prices are comparable with other places, but I'm sure because you're a member here, you'll get a discount of some kind.

K&N best prices...

I got mine on Ebay. It was $65.99 shipped to my door. It came with an Aluminum MAF adapter and the correct K&N cone filter. They also sent screws and nuts (wrong size - wouldn't fit through the MAF adapter!) and did not send the gasket (goes between the MAF adapter & MAF), but I already had those things from a previous (bad) purchase of a cheapo ARC intake kit. MAKE SURE YOU GET A METAL MAF ADAPTER!!! Some people sell the cheap plastic ones, and they're HORRIBLE! The ARC had a plastic MAF adapter with it, and when you tightened the screws at the corners, the adapter would bow out in the middle, letting air flow in after the filter.

The seller was dohccivicna, in case anybody wants to know.
