Bypass hose?

Can it be replaced from the top of the engine? I have a crack on the bypass hose (hose on right rear side of vg enging). It looks a bit difficult to replace because it goes pretty far down into the engine. I also noticed that a ac line (?) goes by it as well. Is this something that I can do easly? I am also going to purchase the radiator hoses top and bottom. They look worne too. What kind of job am I looking at. Any sugestions or anyone have a writeup?
Thanks in advance
- Gil

Yea, the radiator hose looks really simple because its on top. I also dont know the proper way to flush the radiator. I would imagine that is necissary if I am going to change the hoses?
Thanks again

Oh my god that hose was a pain in the *** to replace. I did mine like 2 months ago. And yeah, it is done from the top of the engine. The reason it was so tough was because of those damn squeeze clamps. I had such a hard time fitting pliers down there and grabbing the clamp. I managed to get the top clamp off but the bottom was just ridiculous. I ended up taking a dremel tool with a cutting disc and I cut the clamp right off. I should've done that from the beginning, it took like 1 second to cut it off! So if you have a dremel rotary tool, then I highly recommend just cutting the clamp off.

Once the clamps are off the hose is gonna be on pretty damn tight. You'll wanna get a pair of pliers that will fit around the hose and twist the hose back and forth till it comes off. What I recommend doing is getting an oil pan and putting it under the car because A LOT of coolant is going to come pouring out.

Putting the new hose on is simple, and for the love of god, please use screw clamps! They are so much easier!

Good luck dude.

You can pull those squeeze clamps one way so you can access them better. They only spin in one direction though.
