friend of mine has a 93 maxima with abs. The abs light came on and he went to shop which said brakes were dead, needed new pads. he changed them and light is still on PLUS when he brakes, it makes this loud rubbing noice like vrrrooooom, real light. Now shop is giving him all these excuses. Do any of u know why the AbS light may be on and also what he can do to stop rubbing noise?

anyone in northeast jersey experienced with this that can help out?

 

did they put on new rotors or turn the ones that were on there?

If so, then there's a rough surface on the rotors and it'll take a little while for the surface to wear smooth and the noise to go away.
