Lowering

Hey sorry if this has been talked about repeatedly, but i need to get new shocks and springs. My front right one is bent and "they" quoted me 600 for one strut not installed so i figured wtf, might as well lower whole car. I am just wondering what kind of struts and springs people here have used and where you found them the cheapest. Any help would be appreciated.

Try here. This is where I bought my struts, and I have to say that they ride great! And don't be fooled by their inexpensive prices, either. I talked to them personally and although you have to take what a store says with a grain of salt, they told me that these struts were made by the same people that make H&R - just the budget wing of their department.

I've had my struts installed for 3 months now (along with Sprint springs..), and have had no issues with them. I highly recommend this company if you're looking to get struts and are on the "entre-poor-neer budget

Any banging in the rear? My sprints were so low(1.8drop) that they didnt need to be compressed in the rear and now I'm wondering if thats why I have a strange noise in the rear. Sounds like metal banging when I go over pot holes. I'm not happy with the sprints. Sometimes you get what you pay for. No offense nubiannupe.

What brand were those struts that you got? I'm looking at either the ST's or the Sprints for springs, and either KYB's or ST's for struts. Possibly even tokico struts, but we'll see.

You read right, I have Sprint/KYB-gr2 combo and the rear springs didn't have to be compressed. I was surprised even though this was a first time install. I thought they would at least have to be slightly compressed, like the fronts. Maybe thats why I hear noise. Maybe they move when I go over pot holes.
