Major problem

I'm having a major issue with my 92 SE. I'll be driving along and suddenly will lose all fuel pressure, or it will get VERY finicky, and impossible to control. I've already replaced the fuel pump, fuel system vacuum lines, fuel filter twice and the fuel pressure regulator. I spoke with a dealership, and the guy said there was "no chance" that it was the injectors(which I know is a common problem with 3rd gen)...but those guys are mostly just full of it and just want you to pay to hook the car up to a diagnostic machine anyways. But anyways...if anybody has any ideas at all, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE email me...polaris679@aol.com...any idea is welcome...thanks for looking

How do you know you're losing fuel pressure while driving?
Check your TPS to make sure it is functioning correctly.

im in the process of searching out my problem ive just been too busy to get under the hood for any decent amount of time. check the TPS, and the injectors as most of those dealer techs really dont know half of whats going on.

What happens is I'll be driving along, and all of a sudden it's as though the pedal is disconnected from everything...I have no control over it at all...the tach bounces between 1 and 2 grand. It usually works out the funk quickly in lower gears, but on the highway I usually have to put it in neutral, shut it off and restart it in order to gain control of the throttle again, but sometimes I have to restart multiple times before it begins to function normally again. Also, about 1 out of every 20 times the car stalls out. Thanks for any help.

My car was doing the same thing today. Gonna get a tune up tomorrow. By the way the VE engine DOES kick butt. I couldnt really push it though cause of the rain.
