94 SE Oil on Ignition Coils

I went to change the plugs on my '94 SE today, and found the ignition coils on the front cylinder bank sitting in a puddle of oil. Any ideas on what it is? Bad valve cover gasket? Think it could be the reason my car runs slowly when warm (knock sensor had been my previous theory)? Any feedback appreciated

valve cover gasket. Change it and clean the coils/plugs as best you can. Run the car and evaluate again
