Heck, if I had a garage to put it into, I would jump on it as a "lab" project.

it could definitly be done with time and a little money but id atleast get a vq35 if your gonna go throught the trouble of doing it you can get one hear http://www.car-part.com/noninterchange.htm for as little as 800$ and youd have 260hp then get a 6spd mt also from here http://www.car-part.com/noninterchange.htm for as little as 1300$ and lets say around 1500$ in nickle and dime sh*t so for around 4 grand youd probobly have the fastest 3rd gen here or you could just go here http://listings.ebaymotors.com/pool1...x.html?from=R4 and for around a grand you could also have 260 hp take your pick although no turbo lag would be nice i think i know which one would be alot easier

subs are you nutz? You can't bolt in a vq35 and a 6 speed. Get real. You would need the complete wiring harness and ECU, along with a god like ability to understand the FSMs from the several different years.
Turboing a VE isn't all that easy either.

People have been swapping engines between dissimilar cars for years . At least this one he's pinting in the right direction, Besides if you wanna do a swap of these proportions go by a totaled MAX preferably rollover. and as you said pull the wiring and ECM along with motor and trans.
not to mention motor mounts, frame brackets, dash cluster (probably different speedo setup) starter and all of the accessories.
That would be start.
