Has anyone had the problem of the SE's manual tranny to pop out of fifth gear? It happens more often while on cruise control, but still happens in normal driving. Any light shed on this issue would be great.

Sounds like the pop out issue on the old SE-R. Thankfully it hasn't happened to mine yet...

Check out SE-R.net, and do some research.

It's probably a very similar issue, since there both Nissans of the same era.

have a tranny shop check it out. they will be able to give you a better idea of the problem. unless someon here has had the same problem. my 5spd is ok and stays in gear.
