nevermind found the info and my leak. Z31 guys say they read about 20 inHg of vacuum so I'm guessing ours should be similar. My cheap boost gauge came in the mail today so I hooked it up and I'm only reading 10 inHg of vacuum.
i hooked up the air compressor and sealed off as much of the intake as i could and found a huge leak on the lower plenum. i think it could be leaking through the rubber o-rings that go on the injectors and seat into the lower plenum. not sure what to do on this one... any ideas? these o-rings are brand new.

Well when installing the fuel rail there are some plastic spacers. Maybe they are on top instead of below, something like that is possible. When the fuel rail seats, the injectors are usually pressed all the way into those donut o-ring seating into the lower plenum. Either way your probably gonna have to pull it apart.

well what i did when i put the injectors in was put the o-rings on the injectors first since they seal very tight on them. i then dropped in the rail and made sure they were all in the holes correctly. when i pulled the fuel rail off the first time a long time ago there was one plastic spacer on the bottom and one on the top so that's how i put it back together. i took a peak at the one i thought was leaking and it definately looks like it isn't seating with the plenum very well at all. i was thinking about just using silicone and getting it over with. anyone think that is a bad idea?

yeah.. pull it off and reseat everything.. you'll be much happier. if it's not sitting right, then the injector isn't spraying into the right place inside the intake bores.. which will cause a loss of power.

And yes, you shoudl be seeing about 20in Hg.

in my VE, I run abotu 20in Hg at idle, and 24 or so if i'm cruising and let off the gas.

alright. I guess I'll go out and pull everything off again. This is so much fun to do at 12:36 at night . Oh well... I'll do anything to drive my car.
