vg30-et turbo strip

I was wonder if i got a turbo off a vg30-et will it fit on my 90 maxima(with a vg30-e). And if it does what all will I need to strip off the car I get the turbo off of? I'm not worried about how much it will cost I have a connection, he will put it in for me for free.

if you need a T3/T4 hybrid I can get you one for 400...then you need an IC, BOV, Wastegate, custom exhaust, turbo timer (if you don't want to kill it real fast), and a bunch of custom piping (I can do the piping for you ).

we're talking about ~25-3000 in parts and a bunch of time for labor...

whoa!! 400 dollars?! what's the turbine and compressor a/r on that thing? i'd be hella interested for one at 400 dollars.

i've done my swap for 1500 so far and it will be running TONIGHT! hell yeah!!

btw, you can check out my cardomain site to see what i've done to get the turbo in. i have mini-writeup thing as well.
to get the turbo off of the 300zx you'll need to take the oil and cooling lines off (cooling lines are on 85+) and then you need to take off the front and rear manifolds and the crossover pipe. unless you are getting custom manifolds made you will need these. free work and diy work is the best! that's how i kept my costs down. i also bargain shopped as much i could.

many things. i'm pretty sure that some of the 259cc injectors are bad so i'm buying 4 off of a SR20DE for 50 bucks (seems like a steal to me), there was a bad vacuum leak at one of the injectors so I cheated and pulled out the bottom plastic spacer and tightened it down a little bit to seal it off. i check for leaks on the rest of the injectors and i didn't notice any. my idle was better but would eventually get crappy and then the car wouldn't start so i figured the alternator was bad. i pulled it off of the car and took it to autozone to have it checked and it was only producing 1 volt so i bought a new one. i'm going to put that in tonight and charge the battery a bit. hopefully my idle will be better and hopefully there won't be any more vaccum leaks.

right now i'm running the 180cc injectors so that means no boost for me at the moment but at the very least, it will be running. there are still a few more odds and ends that need to be worked out like a minor coolant leak on the passenger side of the engine but i don't think there is anything major to be done... minus the tranny.

i'll let everyone know if it turns out to run good.

he plans to hopefully get back into things next month or so...hes moving and school and work is beating my *** so theres not much time for either of us to work on it. but the body shop had some issues so that held him back from finishing a lot of stuff. all thats left is to get the pipes coated, tap the oil pan, run the lines, re-install Z32 MAF and new ECU.

until then we'll been playing around with his "beater" 240

got the alternator in but now... out of nowhere... without even touching the car or anything, it is starting to backfire and miss and no idle and not run good and the list goes on. i guess timing is off again or something. the TTZ is looking so much better now. i think once i get this thing running somewhat well i'm getting rid of it and getting a TTZ.

oksy so you are running the Maixma ECU with this right?? but won't it have problems compensating for the lower CR of the Z motor??

the CR doesn't matter a lot, as long as the ecu can see how much air is going in and it's still within adjustment range on the injector pulse width.

i've had it running really well before with the Z engine and the maxima ecu. I'm not sure what happened but it just all of the sudden when to crap on my again. I'm going to get the timing light back out and see what is going on.

Are you using the stock max ecu

You mentioned you put the 180 injectors back in. You are running a stock ecu and not your reprogrammed ecu correct?

MT. It's not as easy as looks is it? Anyway, are you running that "custom" ecu?? Maybe that's doing it.

found out my mass air flow sensor may be bad. won't idle, won't rev above 3500 rpm... something is definately not working in the maf department. i'm finally getting an maf code too.

i unplugged it and it seemed to run better. still had a little bit of backfire but i'm sure that's due to the rich fuel mixture from not having the maf.

is the MAF itself messed up or is the wiring harness just making bad contact?

i seem to be getting correct voltage when the key is on and when the car is running according to the s-afc. when i try revving it up the voltage raises to about 2.1xx volts and then the voltage will jump around a little bit.
