well in my max i have a jvc cd player and the stock bose setup, with that special wiring harness... now if i have the car off everything is fine, the radio, cd works fine, but when i turn the car on, meaning running, i get an alternator whine through my back passenger side speaker... now i can go around this by unplugging it but i wish to utitilize that speaker... any ideas??

it's most likely a problem with the ground wires on that amplifier in the back. usually when you get alternator whine, it's the low-level ground signal coming from the head unit that is dead.. often on the bose amps, this is from a bad solder connection.
Remove the bose amp and resolder all the wire connections on the board, then see what happens. good luck.

ringing noise in my 90 gxe

Im not sure if this is the same alternator whine that has been talked about, but in my maxima, when i turn the car on, for about 10 minutes, there is this high pitched ringing noise when the radio is on. Its strange because after about 10-15 minutes, the sound is gone. ANybpdy know what this is?
