well.....

1.Protorque high stall torque converter $400+$4-500 install
2.Level 10 Valve Body $6-700
3.Level 10 total rebuild $1500-4000

#1 and 2 are in my summer plans.....should have #2 by end of June and #1 by end of summer and hopefully, hello mid 15's!!!

Brake Torque

Keep your foot on the brake and press the gas up to around 1500-2000 RPM and then release the brake. I wouldn't recommend doing this numerous times since it does give wear on your tranny.

Re: Brake Torque

you know what I think a launch at around no more than 1300 would be sufficient and a LOT safer since our stall speed is around 1800(I think), thus no real power transfer untill another 500 rpms....I tried dropping at 2000rpms once, lets just say, a few days later, well you know...........I was taking the bus for a week or two!

if you are rich

valvle body mod or a shift kit (the kit itself is cheap but its the labor thats expensive)

and if you are poor like me

atleast get a tranny cooler (30 bucks or so) and then you can feel a little better about doing brake troques

and also "run your gears" which means

start off in the lowest gear which is 1 and right before it redlines manuelly shift into 2 then back to d

since 1 is your lowest its the strongest and will provide you with the most torque

now if you are already on the move like around 30 or 40 then dont shift it to 1 cause it called compression braking (like you do in a standard) and if you are not careful the car will slow down hard and you could knock your head against the steering wheel (hehe)

what you want to do since you are already on the go and if your foot is on the gas then your rpm is kind of high you want to turn on over drive so that it will make your car shift higher therefore decreasing your rpms

since you are in a higher gear and lower rpms, once the race is on mash on the gas and your car will downshift therefore kicking up your rpms and increasing your speed alot faster

one more thing, if you are on the go (30 or 40) you could just drop it into 2 which will downshift and make your rpms higher

many tricks you can use

and trust me, we automatics need all we can, standards are way faster then automatics (slushbox)
