In my case, I have the PIAA SuperWhite 9004s. Technically, they produce a whiter light and throw a lot further than the stock bulbs. I bought mine through another user on Maxima.org for $50 (a heck of a lot better than $90).

Other brands you may want to consider are Polarg or Hiper.
You can find some of them at http://www.autotoys.com.

My next lighting project is upgrading the corners, tails, turn signals, back up, and step lights to either Hiper or Polarg. Very soon, I will be ordering my PIAA 1900x foglights.

Rest assured, I am leaving everything stock, but changing the lights to a brighter bulb. Not higher wattage.

There is no way to get a brighter bulb while leaving the same wattage. Wattage is what provides brightness nothing else. The blue coating on bulbs actually reduces their effectiveness, nevertheless they look better.

Yep. That was what a retail store in IL wanted to charge me. With tax, it would have eclipsed the wrong side of $100. I also got a quote from that place for the PIAA 1900x foglights and they wanted $231. Naturally, I said there was no way in hell I was going to pay $90 for some headlight bulbs. Luckily, I found a member on Maxima.org who was selling his and I paid $50. As far as the fogs are concerned, I got in on a group buy and I am getting those for $173 including shipping.

Now, I am looking for the hyperwhites for the other bulbs in my car since they look dim in comparison to the headlights.
