I seem to have a short in the light behind my climate control buttons. Usually they dont light up but ever so often the come on. I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem, or if anyone has and ideas that would help me locate the problem quicker.

Do you have the Automatic Climate Control or the regular one?
Believe me, its a real pain to take out. One day I just felt like tackling it, and boy, it was a real killer.
I'd rather do headunit installs all day.

I have the regular one. Since you are in the process of changing all of your bose "crap", what kind of speakers are in the door? What do you plan to do with the mounts? I believe I may be able to use them.

Firstly, if the climate control system works in each and every way except "light", then I would leave it alone unless there is some fuse you can access in another location.
The speakers in the door are 4 inch full range type.
They are mounted in a plastic enclosure and are mounted triangular (very strange) way. In terms of the audio system, I have replaced everything except the front door speakers. The reason being that I want to install 6.5 inches
and am unable to build a mount using OSB. Another reason is the cold weather we have been suffering around here. But I definately wanted to know if someone would be willing to sell me the 4x6 enclosures found in Non-Bose 3rd Gen. Maximas.
Lastly, what mounts are you talking about?

Well sir, I do have the 4x6 mounts, but they are in use at the moment. In fact, lack of time and confidence in my ability to build something that I have not done before may cause me to change out for new 4x6's. I really would like to go with a 6" in the door, with a separate tweeter. We may be of assistance to each other in the near future. Keep me posted on the progress of making mounts for 6 inchers.
