"Hybrid" Intake for the VE?

I know a bunch of guys were posting before about using a cheap 90-93 Accord or non-turbo Eclipse cold air intake on the Maxima. Will this work on the SE Max though, or is this only a fit on the VG? All the pics I saw during a search seemed to be for the VG.

Awww.... special code. Sorry, not in the loop on that one. Anyone have any real info? I think it was DaMax or somebody that had one set up. I'd just go with the WSP, but tryin' to save a buck or two here.

You can get an ebay intake for like $20-$40. If you cannot afford that, then your purchasing priorities are in question

U can use a BOMZ or an E-bay Cold Air Intake for a 95-99 Maxima, Worked perfect for my VE.

No, it has to have the NOS sticker on it for the additional 10 WHP.

max420: Thanks for the tip, did you actually use the cold air part of it?

I just want a basic one to replace the upper hose and upper resonator rather than doing it cheap *** and stuffin a pvc cap in there. pvc sucks! So basically something that'll work for a WAI setup. I just have a real hard time shellin' out $200+ for a 3" bent tube with a filter. Even when you do they don't always fit right, Place Racing for example-- had to cut a good section out of one of their CAI for it to fit on another car.
