installed cattman y-pipe
I have a friend with a shop (has a lift in it) so he helped me put my Cattman y-pipe on yesterday. Not only is my exhaust leak gone, my car feels like it has much more power. My leak was from the gaskets (o-rings) wearing out. My old pipe still looks good, but I am glad to have an aftermarket (less restrictive one).
Here is a link to the page on my cardomain containing the pipe info:

Thanks, Julio for getting the pipe to me. It had some surface rust, but if you check in the pics, it cleaned up very well.
The installation went pretty smooth. Luckily my friend had all the right tools (makes a HUGE difference). It is somewhat difficult to reach the rear header flange bolts (can't get to them with a socket/extension -- had to use a ratcheting wrench) but other than that, there were no hang ups. If you don't have access to a lift, it would probably make the job much more difficult. I was quoted an hour of labor from a local muffler shop and it took us nearly two hours to get the old on off and the new one on.
I would recommend a y-pipe mod to anyone considering it. Very impressive even on my car, which is totally stock (except for the pipe now).

Cool! btw, check out the boot on the tranny where the shift linkage connects, its broken. Just something I noticed.
I wish I was in High School again, having those lifts would be very handy

Yeah, I noticed the boot. Actually, I have two boots that need to be replaced. That one and the back one on the RH side (for the steering, not the CV).
I also have a small oil leak. It looks like it is coming from the front seal. One project at a time...
Harry, WSP is considerably cheaper than Cattman (new). However, I have driven around quite a bit and I've had no problems. It is quiet as the stock one (no bees in a can) and it installed fairly straightforward. I had heard that there are fittment issues with Cattman, but the only thing I had a problem with was tightening that back bolt on the rear header. I would think that you would be OK either way. If I were to buy one new, I probably would have picked up a WSP.

where do you notice more power or have you really not played around with it that much?
When it comes time to do that front seal, maybe consider a Underdrive Pulley to go with it

It seems that around 3k rpm + it really picks up. It also felt like it accelerated better on the freeway. I have only driven 30 or so miles around town and on the freeway, but it does seem to make a difference. I expect it to bump up more when I get rid of the stock airbox.
When I get some money freed up (after the holidays) I will be fixing/modding my car more. UDP is on my list, but that list is longer than the Great Wall of China...

Got mine put on yesterday and it is an impressive mod. I didnt notice a big diffrence at first, but later on in the day I notices how on the highway the car was pulling allot more in overdrive. Deffinately noticable after 3K.
