i have been searching for the last hour and i havent found anything that describesmy problem.

For the last couple of weeks i've noticed that the car has been dragging when i put a good amount of pressure on the gass peddle. When i first got te car i never really understood the purpose of the power comfort switch because i was always driving on comfort(for about a a week) when i learned that it controled the shifting of the transmission i left it on power, it just feels so much more powerfull. Anyways before, while on power when i gave it some gas it would jerk for half a second and downshift a gear or two and take off, now all it does is downshift one gear no matter how fast or slow im going and drags till i hit around 4k rpm. its like trying to floor it while in comfort, it just wont downshift far enough and it will drag (and i get a little vibration all over the peddle) untill it gets into higher rpms and then it feels the way it should while rapidly accelrating. it didnt ever do this while i have it on power, and i have had it on power since the second week that i have had the car and never looked back at comfort, i have had the car for a little over a year. its starting to bother me because im useto giving it a little gas and taking off now it only downshifts like that once in a while.
on certain days it feels the way that it used to just a smooth transition into lower gears and it would take off without any vibration. now it mostly feels like crap

trans fluid looked cherry red and didnt smell burnt but changed(before the 100k mark) anyway because i didnt know when the last owner changed it or didnt, still doesnt smell burnt and still cherry red

brand new power/comfort switch

any ideas? any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Check your TPS and your injectors too start with

 

good posibility of injectors as already stated and also could be your cats clogged that will result in a pretty big loss of power. could also be a malfubnctioning tranny.

check your ecu for codes first
