Hola, I have a 1991 maxima GXE auto...do i have a power antenna?? its just always up...but is my motor maybe broken or did my car just not come with a power one?

yes every 3rd gen came with a power antenna.

if yours is not powered or doesn't retract then your motor is dead or the previous owner decided to jam some goofy looking sorry excuse for an antenna on there.

 

ok thanks for the info...how do i fix this? should i check to just make sure some squirrel didnt get in there and jam my antenna? is there some stupid thing that messes up power antennas that i can fix (for free!)?

 

Don’t know about you, guys ... but I'd get rid of this power antenna.
Mine didn't operate when I bought my maxima - so I replaced it with a new German one (very expensive!!!). It worked for about 7 month and then died ... Right now I have a flexible rubber one (inexpensive) and very happy with it (reception is very good too).

 

Nah, just get the one that sticks on the windshield. and fill the hole
