Need feedback on spark plugs

Does anyone have any experience with NGK's Iridium tipped spark plugs? I was on NGK's site today and that they carry Iridium spark plugs. Does it pay to get $6-$11 plugs ? Just want hear what everyone thinks.

i personally wouldn't pay that much for some plugs. i just got some regular Bosch Platinums in my max. think they're like 2 bucks each.

Normally I'd yell search, But the search function don't work.
Your car came factory equipped with NGK laser Platinum plugs for a reason (don't know what it was admittedly)
If you're gonna blow the money on the iridiums make sure sure you get the laser plat ones.
and yes they are VERY expensive

I have the Bosch Plat 4 in my max now. I really can't tell how much of a difference it was from my old ones. plus i'm getting really bad gas mileage, could it be that the plugs ahve something to do with it?.

gas mileage could be many many things, plugs, plug wires, fuel filter, O2 sensor, improperly inflated tires etc etc etc

Yes, there have been documented cases of the maxes not liking bosch plugs.
Besides a spark will always take the path of least resistance so it will only go to one electrode at a time. so the other 3 become obstructions to the flame kernel.

max hates bosch

i tried bosch 4s. and they suck. first off, they felt no different. second, a couple went bad extremely soon. this is my experience, as others may be happy as a clam with bosch.

go back to OEM. and, at risk of a blanket-statement and flaming, i have found that OEM electrical/electronics are the better way. suspension is a different story, for example, but aftermarket electronics seem to wreak havoc on our cars. some get away with cheap or used parts, yes, but, in general, you end up blowing more money discovering this blanket-statement is often true. this statement breaks down when you get into heavy engine modding. but i'm talking lightly modded N/A setup.

bottom line bosch 4's are a waste of time and a bad design. I have NGK iridiums in my max. before those i have bosches and ill never put them back in.

Bah.. screw it.. I run regular NGKs in my VE and it loves them. change 'em about once a year, but it's not a big deal since they're $1.50 each.

My car used to stall/hesitate after changing the coil packs bunt no the spark plugs, at least once a drive, before I got the correct OEM spark plugs, I had some plugs that were susposed to be the same as the NGKs but weren't. Now its been almost a week with the correct plugs (Thanks Internetautomar) and no stalling!

Just checked my plugs today and they're still good but had to do it because of freakin failed injector.
