Test driving my new maxima

Alright so I bought a 1990 maxima and put a new tranny in it. I was out test driving it tonight, first time I have driven the car and of course the roads have to be covered in ice and snow. Yeah to make a long story short the thing has Fittapaldi rims on it and I cracked one of them. I am really ****ed right now. Does anyone know where I could come across a new rim that would match the others? I cant seem to find any place that deals fittapaldi.

haha in the three hours that I got to drive it, hell yeah. When I did find some nice asphault it was very reasonable acceleration for a auto and in the snow it didnt have much of a problem either.

Do tire shops weld rims ever? I could easily bend it back and the crack in it isnt very bad.

There are a couple of companies that do that kind of repair (depending on the extent of damage). One I've dealt with in the past is this one. 72 hour turn-around time (at least for ME they were), but getting that stuff done is NOT cheap, I tell ya. Unless you have a physical attachment to those rims, you're probably better off just buying some new ones.

You can get rims repaired. aaa-rims.com, wheelcollision.com, etc... They advertise in the back of magazines. Try some wheel sites to look for a new wheel, or search the internet by name and model number. Sorry you had an accident.

www.discounttire.com, they carry that line. Good luck and sorry to hear about your mishap.

Yeah I have found a lot of people that carry fittipaldi online but none of them have older model wheels. If I could I would just replace it with a new one but it looks like its gonna have to get repaired.

Oh yeah and never fear about the car. I through the stock rims on it and its as good as new now. Except for the rust, but thats only a minor ammount and completely off subject.

the old stock rims are actually incredibly light, my buddy just got an oz rally lancer and those oz rims are barely lighter than the newer 3rd gen stocks. didnt weigh em properly, but i mean those thingare soo light, plus theyre wider than the oz rims.
