my friend says his 1993 nissan maxima is a GXE model, but there is no symbol on the back of it... I say it isnt because there is no GXE symbol on the back of the car, he says the 3rd gen ones didnt have a GXE symbols on the cars that were GXE..
Can someone tell me if thats true.?

No 3rd generation Maximas came with emblems on the rear decklid. The easiest way to tell a GXE and a SE apart are that the GXE has chrome trim around the windows and taillights, body color mirrors, and a chrome grille. A SE has black trim around the windows and tailights, body color grille, black mirrors, foglights, rear spoiler, and white face gauges.
