sorry if I repeat a previous question but the search button says I am not authorized to search. I just tore down the motor and replaced the knock sensor and harness from courtesy nissan, but the harness was a different part number, shorter wire and the notch on the knock sensor did not match the notch in the connector. I was told by a technician to shave off the notch and attach it and it would be fine. the part # for the incorrect harness was 24078-16e00. Now the motor runs better than it did w/ the previous knock sensor and harness but still does not run as well as it does w/ the 470 ohm connector in it. I am wondering if the new harness is not allowing the right flow of resistance back to the ecu. Will it solve the problem if I get the harness recommended by the tech service bulletin? Doesn't that beef up the signal? Also, it is Thanksgiving and I have not found out what car the harness was made for and what the diff is between it and the correct maxima harness. Please give me some poss fixes or any info on what the TSB harness fix does for the maxima.
