gauge failure-URGENT
Normally all my gauges work fine. Today when i started up my car the temp gauge did not move from the needle rest. ALso my brake light goes on when i first turn on the car but will go away in a few minutes and go on and off randomly. i already checked my brake fluid and the brakes work fine. Does anyone know what could be wrong.

how full is your brake fluid? if it's not near the Max line, I've found that mine will flicker and fade in/out as I'm speeding up or on the brakes hard.
when was the brake light coming on?
how cold is it outside? how much coolant do you yave?
your thermostat could be stuck open- very common. you could also have some air in the system. if you do, the temp gauge is in the top of the coolant pipe, and may just be sitting in air- no contact with the coolant to register proper temperature.

try adding just a bit of fluid to your master cylinder and see if that issue goes away. be sure to check the brake pads though and make sure there's plenty of pad material left. usually you shouldn't have to fill up your brake fluid between pad changes, so a low level in the master cylinder often indicates worn pads or a leak in the system.
it could just be that the low level indicator is getting picky. as I said above, my brake light on the dash will flicker and fade in/out if the level isn't at absolute maximum... but keep in mind I've got a TON of suspension and brake mods that cause the brake fluid to slosh around more than a factory suspension setup.
