dude, ok theres a difference between those civics guys and those who do it with a max, a max is refined, kinda like a nice cold frosty well made beer, and a civic is like a really gross a$$ shot of moonshine or something. theres a whole world of difference.

before i got my max, i laughed at those guys who drove civics and made them look like rockets, but now ( though i still dont understand it) i give them props for sinking money into a car that still wont go any faster.

most of the guys on here do it for the love of the car, seeing something evolve making as good as the new ones if not better, if you dont like it, then get off of here and do something else, why dont you buy a guy hooker and complain to him coz we aint listenin

1. YOU are an idiot

2. Those cars are not souped up, they are elegantly individualized

3. You're a disgrace to fellow Canadians

4. Take a grammar class

5. Although I would rather see you further gang raped, have fun in the land of The Banned

Its fun to drive a fast car, period. (for those who like having a fast car that is)

Why do I make my Maxima fast you may ask?

1. Reliability. The VG engine is bulletproof. (tranny sucks but i can rebuild it quickly and for pretty cheap.)
2. 4 doors meaning more room to haul stuff and people around.
3. Sleeper. its always awesome to go to the strip and get next to a sports car to turn around and beat him with a 4 door car.
4. I like acceleration so therefore I want the car that I like to be faster so I mod it.

The list can go on and on. And what is wrong with souping up old cars? Do you know how sweet old domestic muscle cars are once they are souped up? You must have never seen one because your comment is very stupid.

Speaking of Civics, yeah there are some really dumb Hondas out there. There are also some ****ing fast ones so don't go saying all Hondas suck. You'd be surprised at some of those Civics out there.

It makes me sick to see people like this..... As a person who owns many cars and many maximas there are parts of us attached to the cars we drove when we were younger. I believe in souping up older cars because I'd rather be a part of a select few people than just another owner of a car. To some it's not a car, It is an extension of themselves, and some people choose what car they are going to drive by the way they feel or the way the car makes them feel. I love a 89-94 max. It was the best body style they could make. In my own personal opinion of course. I'm sorry that your just an ordinary car driving the same car that everyone else is driving. I'm sorry that you lash out at others because you either don't have the money or don't have the imagination to create your own car. Use your transportation any way that you see fit. But alot of us don't use our cars for transportation....... We take our cars out to have a good time and to be different. That sets us well above and beyond the honda crowd. Our cars get us to point a and point b, but we enjoy getting there and the time between the 2 points. Drive something else, you inturn give us a bad name by letting your car go to sh**. Be who you are, and let us be in peace. We like who we are, thats why we don't lash out at people like you. See a therapist and find out what you enjoy so that you can respect people who have found what they enjoy.

well,
for 1 i picked my maxima b/c i like the body style the best. i looked at 4th gens and 5th gens and i really like mine the best. i almost bought a 5th gen but really decided to keep my 3rd gen and just go with it.
i know there is alot more things for the new cars ... but the whole point of modifing a car is to improve something to the "individuals" liking.

how can you say that old vintage ferrarries are stupid?? or and old as$ porche is dumb?? ...
or even and old mustang or corvette? ... some hondas/acuara are rather ... (over the top) and some are really really nice but its not really your place to come here on our board and tell us that were stupid and dumb for modifying our old cars ... you know most of us have newer cars as well you FUC King retarded **** sucking ***g0t ... i hate fuc Kers like you who dont think before they talk. so suck a fatty dumb as$... and i hope you crash and really get FUC ked up so you know we the maxima comunity brought it appon you, you d!ck
yours truley

so this guy elpedro or whomthe fu*Kever comes on here with 4 posts and makes this big statement about tastelessness and he is nothing but that.

instead of hiding behind the sarcastic hot pink fake car color, why don't you just admit that you cannot afford, nor comprehend, the entire tuning culture. it may benefit you to just sit on the sidelines and shut the f*K up and listen. and while you're sitting there picking your nose, go shove a y-pipe up your pink aS$.

This thread rocks.

I'd just like to say that no car with stock power windows, power door locks, a/c, am/fm cassette with optional cd player, and a pretty impressive v6 as the ONLY motor option will never be rice. Even the beat up old GXE's with paint cracking off the bumper are nicer than the beater Hondas and some other cars. Yes, the owners of some Maxima's have terrible taste (putting GT-R badges on trunklids and such [you know who you are]) in dressing up their cars, but they do so because they care about their car.

Just thought that I would add to this thread.

elpedro - I'm not gonna flame you, per se`, because all of us are entitled to our own opinion and, after all, opinions are like buttholes (everyone has 'em - some stink). But I'm having a hard time understanding just WHY you have such animosity towards modding as a whole. And especially with a car that, by your own admission, you own.

This is just MY thought, but maybe you should do a bit more research on just WHAT an "enthusiast" is, as opposed to just an "owner". The vast majority of us here are the former (which, I'm assuming, is why the title banner reads, "the home for Maxima ENTHUSIASTS")

Then, your comments, however offensive we may think they are, will be laced with a bit less fiction and a bit more fact.

But, DanNY layeth the smacketh down upon thee, so you probably aren't even reading this.

But do your thing, bro. I at least appreciate your honesty.

damnit, hmmm why havent I installed mine yet?

ohhh time for a club... either "members with clear corners in the garage and ambers on the car" or "stock corner club"

Souping up isnt the same as cosmetic mods. My fidanza is souping up a car, its not a cosmetic mod because you cant see it unless you drop my tranny or take off my starter.

btw, anyone else take off their starters just to look at their flywheel? no? really? hmm, maybe I'm wierd?
